Poem: Everyday Sadness

Coffee stains. Wrinkled sheets.

Yesterday’s cup runneth over.

I am lost and also found.

An oxymoron never escapes me.

My rear view in full view.

Less I know the more I’m seen.

Seen for my faults,

as big as the stars that burn above me.

Laundry piled sky high.

Tasks are endless.

The list is large.

I am small.

Coiled and torqued.

My drive whisked away by melancholy.

It festers while tears fill smoldered eyes.

My head is aching.

More coffee please.
